There is no paid plan: everything Birdsuite Clip does is free, with no trial that runs out.
Open Clip for freeBirdsuite Clip is a free screen and camera recorder that runs in the browser. It records your screen, your camera or both, or just your microphone, and saves MP4 or WebM at up to 2560 × 1440 pixels. The recording is made on your device and never uploaded. No account needed; share it by download or Birdsuite Transfer.
You want to show something on your screen: a bug, a how-to, a presentation. Many recorders ask you to sign up first, upload the video to their cloud and cap its length on the free plan.
Clip records right in your browser and puts the video together on your device. Download the file, trim it in Trim or send it on with Transfer — no account, no subscription.
Choose a camera and microphone and tick "Also record the screen". Your browser asks which window or screen to share.
Start recording and show what you need to show. Your camera appears as a round bubble in the bottom-left corner.
Watch the preview, download the file or open it in Trim or Transfer with one click.
The recording is made and stays in your browser. It only leaves your device when you hand it to Transfer yourself.
Clip doesn't cap the length. How long a recording can get depends on your device's memory.
"Edit in Trim" opens the recording in the video editor, "Send via Transfer" hands it to Birdsuite Transfer.
Record the screen, just the camera or both. With the screen, your camera sits in a round bubble in the bottom-left corner.
Without camera and screen, Clip becomes a voice recorder and saves an audio file (M4A or WebM).
Clip records at 30 frames per second at your source's size, up to 2560 × 1440 pixels, so text stays readable.
Where the browser supports it, Clip saves MP4 with H.264 and AAC, which plays everywhere. Otherwise you get a WebM file.
Test it yourself: Test it yourself: open Clip, switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data, and record something. Recording, preview and download keep working, because nothing goes to a server.
