Open Solve for free

Birdsuite Solve is an ad-free sudoku that runs entirely in your browser. You play four levels from easy to expert with mouse, touch, keyboard or hand gestures in front of your camera. You can also print booklets of 6, 12 or 24 sudokus as an A4 PDF, with the solutions at the back. You need no account.

The problem

You just want to solve a sudoku, but most sites are paid for by ads: banners, video ads and a consent dialog with a long list of ad partners. Printed puzzle books with solutions cost extra.

The solution

Solve creates every puzzle in your browser and shows nothing but the grid. If you'd rather solve on paper, you make your own booklet as a PDF.

How it works

  1. 1

    Pick a level

Choose easy, medium, hard or expert — a new puzzle appears right away.

  2. 2

    Play

Press a cell, drag to a number on the wheel and release. Or type the digit on your keyboard.

  3. 3

    Or print

Choose 6, 12 or 24 puzzles, one level or mixed, and download the booklet as a PDF.

Features

No ads

No banners, no video ads, no ad partners. Just the grid.

Play with hand gestures

Switch on hand control: aim with your hand, pinch thumb and index finger, drag to the number and let go.

Puzzle booklets as PDF

6, 12 or 24 sudokus on A4, four per page, with the solutions at the back — to print or to give away.

Four difficulty levels

Easy, medium, hard and expert. Every puzzle has exactly one solution.

Pencil marks

In notes mode you add small candidate digits. When you place a number, it disappears from the notes of neighbouring cells.

Number wheel for mouse and touch

One motion instead of many clicks: press, drag towards the number, release. The keyboard works too.

Conflicts shown

If a digit appears twice in a row, column or box, Solve highlights the cells involved.

Data and privacy

Processing
Puzzles, play and PDF booklets are created in your browser. For hand control, a model analyses the camera image on your device; we serve that model from our own server.
Storage
We store no game progress and no camera images. Our server only counts, anonymously, that a puzzle or booklet was created — no personal data.
Processors
None. The page itself is served by our server at Host Europe in Strasbourg, France.

Test it yourself: Test it yourself: open Solve, switch off Wi-Fi and mobile data, and start a new puzzle. Creating and playing keep working, because everything runs in your browser.

What Solve can’t do

  • There are no variants such as killer, samurai or mini sudoku.
  • There are no daily puzzles, leaderboards or statistics.
  • Your progress isn't saved; reloading starts a new puzzle.
  • There are no hints, no undo and no timer.
  • Hand control needs a camera and enough light.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free and ad-free?
Yes. Solve shows no ads, includes no ad partners and needs no account.
How does gesture control work?
Through your camera: a model recognises your hand in the browser. You aim at a cell with your hand, pinch thumb and index finger, drag to the number on the wheel and let go. The camera image is analysed on your device, never stored and never sent.
Can I print sudokus?
Yes, as a booklet of 6, 12 or 24 puzzles. The PDF is A4, with four puzzles per page and the solutions at the back.
Which difficulty levels are there?
Four: easy, medium, hard and expert. For a booklet you can pick one level or mix all four.
Can I add pencil marks?
Yes. In notes mode the number wheel sets small candidate digits, and a placed number clears them from neighbouring cells.
Does every puzzle have exactly one solution?
Yes. While creating a puzzle, Solve checks at every step that it stays uniquely solvable.
Is my progress saved?
No. Solve saves no game progress; if you reload the page, a new puzzle starts.
