- Are my PDFs uploaded?
- No. Sign, Fill and Bill open and edit your files in your browser. You can check it in the network tab of your browser’s developer tools: your PDF never shows up as an upload.
- Is a signature made with Sign legally valid?
- Sign creates a simple electronic signature, which is enough for many documents without form requirements, such as quotes or confirmations. Where German law requires written form (§ 126 BGB), you need a handwritten or a qualified electronic signature, and Sign does not create one. This is not legal advice.
- My PDF has no form fields. What now?
- Use Sign. Fill fills in existing form fields and points you to Sign when a PDF has none; in Sign you place your signature anywhere on the page.
- Does Bill check whether an e-invoice is valid?
- No, Bill is a viewer. It makes XRechnung and ZUGFeRD readable and checks the totals, but it is not a binding validation. Always archive the original file, not the printout.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing. Sign, Fill and Bill have no paid plan, show no ads and need no account.
